Great Effort
A great effort for a first release. The first thing you will notice when taken out of the box is the weight of the figure. This bad boy is very heavy. This is due to the fact that the entire lower foot assembly is diecast. Perfect for this figure as the large backpack can become cumbersome in regular robot mode. Standing is no problem due to this construction in robot or berserk mode. This figure is much heavier than Fantoys Sovereign or Quakewave. In fact I think this might be heaviest figure on the market in Masterpiece scale that is not a combiner. The ratcheted joints in the legs are very tight and strong. He has no problems holding his legs out to the side or front even with all the weight in the foot. The ratcheted joints for his big berserk arms are really strong as well. I have him holding deluxe size figures in the air with no problem. All the other joints are nice and tight. For those that are wondering he does not come with any weapons to hold in robot mode. His hands are molded as regular MasterPiece style hands with strong finger joints. He is able to hold weapons from other bots. Currently I have him holding the sword from X transbots ELIGOS. Paint application is decent. There are some spots with definition loss but you can only see it up close. The green on his chest could use another coat as it is pretty thin layer against the white plastic. The plastic is solid and sturdy. It really feels like regular Hasbro plastic which is great. No fear of damaging the figure during Transformation. Tolerance for all the hinges and swivels for transformation are tight without being squeaky. All three modes are easy to do and the overall experience is fun without being too complicated. Overall a great effort and worth the price. On a side note. Some videos online have shown his legs to be wobbly and shaking around when you pick him up. That is due to the spaces between each ratchet in the legs. The ratchets are a little wide between each click so there a little bit of wiggle room for the joints to move just a tiny bit. It might bother some people so I thought I would bring it up. Once you set him down on a surface he as not problem hold a pose but that wiggle is there on my copy. Can not wait for another release from this company!
