Another solid release by dx9!
Every hero is judged by the obstacles he must overcome... and DX9's Carry has his work cut out for him! Tyrant is huge! This masterpiece scaled dictator is built like a brick. Tons of die cast in the feet lend stability, while articulation in every nook and cranny let you pose him in every scene you can imagine. Just looking at him you can hear Leonard Nimoy's voice. Really a stellar job... But does not eclipse Carry for my figure of the year ranking. Minuses? Fingers are very loose out of the box, and to get a sturdy stance, the legs are fairly wide... Not horrible, as I like to pose him in dynamic lunges, but anyone who poses figures in "lineup" poses will be grumpy. Also, while this looks straight out of the cartoon, I personally would have liked greater liberties, so it matched the design of Carry more. Still, overall this guy gets an A.

A great addition to anyone's collection
THE GOOD: From the amazing paint apps, to the great amount of detail, DX-9's Tyrant stands as an imposing addition to your collection. Besides height, and that intimidating face sculpt, Tyrant will fill your need for a masterpiece scale homage to Galvatron. THE BAD: THOSE THIGHS THOUGH ugh. they used a horrid ratchet assembly, that harkens back to the classics megatron figure that hasbro released ( nerf gun here in the states) where getting a good standing pose, feels like a trying experience, but you'll find the sweet spot, trust me, it's there. The hands, here is what hurts the figure the most. They are molded in a pseudo fist, that really hurts it, so forget about the stoic pose of having him pointing as if signaling a full on attack...you won't get that. if looks like some old man who can't seem to point his finger all together. I am well aware that FANSTOYS is making their version of this classic character, but let me ask you this good reader: What's better than one homage to galvatron? Having 2 homages to Galvatron! enjoy this amazing work of art!
