Takara Tomy - Masterpiece MP-38 CONVOY (Beast Wars) Supreme Commander

This figure is simply amazing! Beast Wars was what introduced me to transformers so when I saw this I had to get it. As soon as I unboxed him, I was hit with nostalgia that brought me back to Christmas day in the 90's! I got so much mileage out of the old figure, and seeing it in this new light is amazing. It is so much better now! Great paint in both modes, solid articulation in both modes, QC issues were non existent on my figure, and tons of accessories just like the original. They even added light piping to the back of his head so that when he wears his beast mask he has the same LED light up eye feature as his regular head. Nice touch! The only downsides are that he doesn't have fur etched in like the original toy leaving him looking a little flat. He could have better articulation in beast mode. He barely looks up when on all fours. His mace handle and chain could be cut down a bit, they are rather long. His arm cannons are a bit annoying to pull out as well. I am just nit picking though, regardless he is a must have figure! Whether you were a fan of the original series and toy line or not, pick this guy up. Good job Takara!
